Zimbabwe police have told political parties that they cannot go ahead with their march tomorrow. The political parties intend to hold a march to demand reforms under the banner of National Electoral Reform Agenda ( NERA) signed by 13 political parties early this year.

Chairman of the NERA legal committee Douglas Mwonzora told journalists at the media centre in Harare that police said the March would disturb the flow of traffic in Harare and police do not have enough manpower and resources to ensure a peaceful march.

The political parties had told police that the March would be attended  by at least 150000 people. Two months ago police allowed the ruling ZANU PF to do a solidarity March that would attract a million people. Mwonzora added that the parties have approached the High Court and are expecting a favourable ruling.

The press conference was attended by MDC-T president. Morgan Tsvangirai, zpf didymus mutasa, Jacob Ngarivhume and other officials.
