Tsipa boost for Caps United

PSL leaders Caps United welcome back veteran striker Leonard Tsipa when they clash with Harare City in a league match at Rufaro Stadium on Saturday.

Tsipa who leads the goal-scoring chart missed the Harare derby against Dynamos, two weeks ago due to suspension.

While his absence for that match was mourned, United managed to grind a 3-3 draw, following a remarkable comeback, which saw them erase a 3-0 deficit in the last four minutes to force a draw.

Now Tsipa is back for the title push as four games remain before the league race ends.

Lloyd Chitembwe’s side who lead second-placed Highlanders by just a point, also welcome midfielder Phenias Bamusi from suspension as well.

Another boost is that of goalkeeper Edmore Sibanda and Archford Gutu from injury.

“It is a positive development for us to have all the players available for this match. That is what we needed considering this stage of the league campaign we are at,” Chitembwe said.

“Since the beginning of the season, we have had to play most of our games without some of our players, due to suspension or injuries. But we have always managed to pull through despite that. That is why I say this is positive for us to go into the Harare City with all the players around.”

United are fighting to end a 11-year league title drought.

The last time that we won the league title in 2005, Chitembwe was still a player while Tsipa his teammate.
